This page is the one source of truth for the moving parts parents keep asking for: dates, fundraising, camp and travel notes, health reminders, and the links that should stay out of repeated emails.
Short emails should point back here instead of restating forms, deadlines, trip notes, and health reminders. Update this page when a TBD item becomes locked.
These are the items that should not be buried in separate parent emails this week.
Submit final order totals, payment method, and pickup or delivery notes by Friday, July 10, 2026.
Camp is August 1-4 in the Crested Butte / Mt. Crested Butte area. Finish the waiver and reply if an athlete status changed.
Palmer Ridge is assigned to Bob's Road Aid Station. Coach Luke is handling orientation; volunteers still need race-day availability.
Register through Mrs. Feil. PRHS has not posted the 2026 fall clearance deadline yet, so families should finish before official practice.
Use this block when writing updates. If it is on the right side, avoid repeating it as final until the detail is actually set.
Meet at 3:30 PM on the PR track. Practice is expected to end around 5:45-6:00 PM.
Summer training does not count toward the five-practice requirement before racing.
Use SportsYou for weather changes, location moves, cancellations, and quick reminders.
Aid stations support school-season team travel. Peaches build Bears TC credit for Altitude Camp and NXR.
These are being finalized after waiver status and peach credits are cleaned up.
The delivery window is July 15-25. Exact arrival date, pickup support, and customer delivery help still need confirmation.
Entries, bus times, addresses, meals, return plans, and race-day details will come as each meet gets closer.
Roy Griak is limited to 10 boys and 10 girls. Possible added meets after Roy Griak and Grand Junction remain TBD.
Confirmed calendar items, travel windows, and older items kept only as context. Today is Wednesday, July 8, 2026.
June
Garden of the Gods race day has passed. Keep this in the archive as school-season travel fundraiser context.
July
Coach Luke is attending the orientation, so families do not need to manage that part.
Final peach orders and money are due. Finish camp waivers this week so camp balances can be cleaned up after peach credits.
Families should be ready to deliver once the arrival date is confirmed. Use the form notes if you may be out of town or need pickup help.
Second school-side aid-station fundraiser. Palmer Ridge needs 10 athlete volunteers.
August
Crested Butte / Mt. Crested Butte area. Three nights. Target cost has been listed at $325-350 all-in before final credits are cleaned up.
3:30 PM at the PR track. Athletes must be cleared before practicing.
Early season opener.
Pre-state course opportunity.
September
Fast early-season benchmark.
Adams State / Cattails Golf Course.
Selected travel meet limited to 10 boys and 10 girls. Roster mostly comes from consistent top-10 athletes through the first three meets, with coach discretion for the final travel roster.
Potential meet only. Do not treat as final in parent emails yet.
October and November
For athletes not going to Grand Junction.
Overnight team trip open to all athletes. Lodging, meals, and itinerary are still coming.
Potential meet only. Keep out of final logistics emails until confirmed.
JV championship opportunity.
Regional championship. Nine athletes max.
State championship. Seven athletes max.
Tentative date. Peach credit can go toward NXR, but trip details should stay flagged until the NXR plan is final.
Keep the two fundraising lanes separate in every parent note: school-side aid stations and Bears TC peach credits.
Peaches only this year. No pears. Start with family, neighbors, coworkers, and past buyers. Collect payment when the order is placed and write each order down right away.
| Detail | Current Source-of-Truth |
|---|---|
| Deadline | Orders and money are due Friday, July 10, 2026. |
| Delivery | Window is July 15-25. Exact arrival date is still a moving piece. |
| Price | Full box $60. Half box $35. Venmo is @BearsTC with a $2 fee, so Venmo totals are $62 full and $37 half. |
| Athlete credit | $16 per full box and $12 per half box. Credit can go toward Altitude Camp, NXR, or both. |
| Form notes | Include payment method and pickup/delivery notes, especially if you may be out of town or need help. |
| Team challenge | Last year the team sold $11,195. If this year beats that and goes over $12,000, Coach Luke does the Taco Bell 50K. |
Balanced Rock: completed June 14, 2026. Keep as historical context only.
Peach credits: help lower Altitude Camp and NXR costs.
Aid stations: support school-season team travel.
These are the travel notes families should see before costs, rosters, and logistics start changing inside email threads.
Camp is set for Saturday, August 1 through Tuesday, August 4 in the Crested Butte / Mt. Crested Butte area. Current target cost is $325-350 all-in, before final peach-credit cleanup.
September 19 travel meet. Limited to 10 boys and 10 girls. The roster will mostly be athletes who have consistently been in the top 10 on each side through the first three meets, with coach discretion for the final travel roster.
October 9 overnight trip open to all athletes. Lodging, meals, and itinerary will come later. Athletes not going to Grand Junction have the October 8 1600m time trial with Cheyenne Mountain.
November 21 is listed as the tentative date. Peach credits can go toward NXR, but details should stay flagged until the plan is final.
These reminders belong here so every weekly email does not have to recreate the same ferritin, fueling, and gear language.
Eat before practice, bring water, and recover after training. Fueling matters more as training gets heavier.
If an athlete is unusually tired, flat in workouts, slow to recover, short of breath, sick often, or dealing with repeated injuries, consider asking a medical provider about serum ferritin. Go through a provider before supplements.
Tell Coach Luke about injury history, ferritin or iron concerns, allergies, medication needs, or stress load before those details become race-week problems.
Check training shoes, water bottle, sunscreen, layers, rain jacket, and race-day bag before official practice starts.
Athletes need five official fall practices before they can race. Summer training does not count toward those five practices.
If Bears TC does not work or an athlete needs a packet, reach out. Cost should not be the reason someone misses summer training.
